Dear Network,
Three Types of Tithing #89
There has been a lot of discussion among some people about tithing over the last week.
We will give you of three types of tithing seen today.
You can figure at which one you think God loves.
Tithing in the Old Testament was given to support the ministers of the tents of the congregations of Israel, the Levites.
Tithing was always voluntary as to who and when and what was given.
"Take [it] of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service." Numbers 7:5 [The word "take" here is translated "receive" many times and [it] is not in the original text.]
Levites were picked by the elders of each family within a congregation of ten Israelites from Levites all over.
But if there was no service, then "no" tithing. "to every man according to his service"
They were health, education and welfare for a nation and therefore they managed many other contribution to keep the people strong, healthy and prospering. They were men often called benefactors who did not exercise authority but depended on love of neighbor for neighbor. [Leviticus 19:18].
The better the Levite the more in demand he was.
The more the Levite worked to make each family in his congregation prosper, the more he prospered.
This built in system makes virtuous societies prosper.
This same pattern is seen through out the early Church. You see the same congregations of ten everywhere in Europe which is explained in detail in the book Thy Kingdom Comes [free on the net].
If your Church is not doing that then your church is not doing what the early church did.
Congregations of tens hundreds and thousands is a network of people who care about each other enough to keep in contact and make the connections and maintain them to keep the network viable and alive.
To make such a system work it takes forgiveness, thanksgiving, charity and a lot of love for one another.
If you care about people in your congregation as much as you do yourself then your congregation will care about other congregations too.
you will want to network. You will want to gather. You will want to make contact.
This network is designed to start making those connections real. That is its purpose and its terms of this network email list.
We will be shoring up the connection between the nearly 500 members of the network.
We will be explaining some of the services and advantages of Picking your Personal Contact Minister and therefore the disadvantage if you do not.
We will be asking for more volunteers and those who have volunteered to step forward again.
We will also share with others the advantage of being a Personal Contact Minister or forming a Congregation of Record.
It is not about joining or belonging to a church. It is about finding out what Christ said to do, finding others who want to do that and doing it together out of love for Christ and one another.
Now about TITHING
God does want you to tithe but most people have a poor idea of why and how that is done.
Who, what and when you tithe to is between God and you and no one else.
This is one view of tithing from Mr. Dollar who blesses you by stepping on your money.

Another form of tithing from the Coercive Church where most people pray for their daily bread and to men who call themselves benefactors but exercise authority.

If you don't get this read the article below on corban and the coercive church. Remember you cannot just leave that Church once you are amember but you can repent and seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness...
Here is more about Tithing from the book The Higher Liberty which was just uploaded.
